Hire a forward deployed engineer, dedicated to your company
Finds the work worth automating. Then builds it inside your tools.
Neon Link gives a US company one dedicated, full-time forward deployed engineer who works remotely from the Philippines or India, live with your owner and team during real overlap with your US business hours. They sit in on how the work gets done, pick the workflow where AI will pay off first, and build and run the solution inside the tools you already use, such as your CRM, help desk, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, with a person on your side approving anything that goes to a customer. It is quoted per engagement after a short call, with no setup fee, month to month.
Quoted per engagement. Page updated October 25, 2026.
What your Linker handles
- Run discovery calls with you and your team, sit in on the work and map the process as it runs today
- Pick the workflow where AI will pay off first, and write a short plan: the problem, the solution, the systems it touches and how success will be measured
- Build the solution with LLM APIs, retrieval, agents or automation platforms such as n8n, Make or Zapier, whichever fits the job
- Connect it to your CRM, help desk, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 through APIs and webhooks
- Demo it to the people who will use it, train them, and explain the tradeoffs in plain English
- Collect feedback once it meets real users and ship the fixes and improvements it calls for
- Track adoption and results against the measures agreed with you, and report them plainly every week
- Leave a runbook and a clean handoff so your team can run it without them
We screen for Python or JavaScript, APIs, webhooks and LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini, plus client-facing discovery and demo experience. Admin experience in HubSpot, Salesforce, GoHighLevel or Zendesk is a plus. If a finalist has not used yours, you'll know before they start.
How the work is measured
What your Linker is measured on. The targets are set with you in the first week and written into your statement of work.
- Adoption: whether your team uses the solution in their daily work, against measures set with you
- The change in the chosen workflow, measured before and after
- A weekly report on adoption and results you can read without a follow-up call
Who we put on it
- Signs a confidentiality agreement and passes a background check
- Works with real overlap on your US business hours from a quiet, private workspace
- Wired internet with a backup connection and a plan for power outages
- Clear written and spoken English your customers and partners can follow
How it starts
- Step 1Send us your job ad, or tell us the work on a 15 or 30 minute call with Dan.
- Step 2Get a written quote for the role, held for 30 days.
- Step 3We recruit and screen for your work and your tools, and you interview the finalist before they start.
- Step 4Your Linker works on your systems on your hours. A Neon Link manager runs the account and answers when you need them.
- Step 5If the fit is wrong in the first 60 days, we swap them at no cost.
A good fit, and not a fit
- Owners who know AI could help but don't know which workflow to start with
- Teams that bought AI tools nobody uses, and want someone to fit them into the actual work
- Companies that want an engineer who listens to the people doing the work and stays until they rely on it
- A strategy deck with no build. Your Linker ships working software inside your tools
- On-site visits. Your Linker works remotely, live on calls with your team during your US business hours
- Changes that reach customers with no one checking. A person on your side approves those
- A team of consultants or round-the-clock support. Your Linker is one person

Questions owners ask
How much does it cost to hire a forward deployed engineer through Neon Link?
It is quoted per engagement, because the scope and the seniority you need change the person we recruit. You get a written quote after a short call, held for 30 days, with no setup fee and month to month terms. For comparison, a US software developer costs about $16,210 a month fully loaded, using the BLS median wage plus employer costs.
What is a forward deployed engineer?
An engineer who works alongside your team instead of behind a ticket queue. They learn how your business actually runs, pick the workflow where AI will pay off first, build the solution inside the tools you already use, and stay until people rely on it. Half the job is engineering and half is listening.
How does a remote engineer sit in with my team?
Through live calls and screen shares during the overlap with your US business hours, set with you before they start. They watch how the work gets done today, run discovery with the people who do it, and demo each version to them. The building happens inside your tools, with the access you grant.
What happens when the first project is done?
They leave a runbook and a clean handoff so your team can run it, then move to the next workflow on the list you agree together. Because it is one dedicated person, the engineer who built the first solution keeps it working while building the next.
How is this different from hiring a virtual assistant?
You get one dedicated person who works only for your company, on your hours, inside your software, and a Neon Link manager runs the account: pay, equipment, replacement if it comes to that, and a phone that gets answered. You never run offshore payroll or manage a freelancer alone. It is not a shared pool, a ticket queue or a 24/7 answering line.
How fast can someone start?
We start recruiting when you say go. You interview the finalist before anyone starts, and the start date is set with you once you pick the person. We would rather take the time to find the right fit than hand you whoever is free.
What if the person is not the right fit?
If the fit is wrong in the first 60 days, we swap them at no cost. After that, if they leave, we recruit the replacement at no charge and manage the handover. Training on your process runs at the normal monthly rate.
Do we have to sign a long contract?
No. Month to month is available on every plan. The 6-month plan trades a longer commitment for a lower monthly rate. A written quote at the published rate is held for 30 days.
