What your Linker handles
- Plan and assign loads, keep the board balanced, and keep drivers moving from one pickup to the next
- Search and book freight on DAT and Truckstop, negotiate with brokers, and confirm every lane in writing
- Run check calls and track ETAs, and tell your customer about a delay before they have to ask
- Watch hours of service and appointment windows, and work breakdowns, late pickups and reschedules before they turn into claims
- Handle rate confirmations, carrier packets, BOLs, PODs, detention, lumper and accessorial paperwork, attached to the right order in your TMS
- Invoice loads once the paperwork is in, and prepare driver settlements for your approval
- Keep driver qualification (DQ) files and new driver onboarding paperwork complete
- Monitor your CSA scores, and prepare quarterly IFTA mileage and fuel records for you to review and file
- Report daily on loads covered, open issues and anything that needs an owner's decision
We screen for the tools you run, such as DAT or Truckstop for freight, McLeod, TMW, Rose Rocket, Samsara or Motive for TMS and ELD, and MacroPoint or project44 for tracking. If a finalist has not used yours, you'll know before they start.

Questions owners ask
How much does it cost to outsource truck dispatching?
$2,995 a month for one dedicated, full-time person (40 hours a week), month to month, or $2,895 a month on the 6-month plan. There is no setup fee, and pay, equipment and management are inside that one number. For comparison, a US dispatcher costs about $5,590 a month fully loaded, using the BLS median wage plus employer costs.
How many trucks can one dispatcher handle?
It depends on your lanes, your customers and the paperwork that comes with each load, so board size and load volume are agreed with you up front from your truck count and lanes, and reviewed as the operation grows. When the board outgrows one person, you add a second Linker at the same published rate.
Can an offshore dispatcher book loads and negotiate with brokers?
Yes. Searching and booking freight on DAT and Truckstop, negotiating with brokers and confirming every lane in writing are core to the role. They book under your authority, and anything that needs an owner's decision goes in the daily report or straight to you.
Can they handle DQ files, IFTA and settlements, or only dispatch?
Both are in this lane. DQ files, driver onboarding paperwork, CSA monitoring, IFTA, billing and settlements are part of the published scope, and we screen for safety and compliance experience such as DOT driver files and IFTA when that's the work you need most. How is this different from hiring a virtual assistant?
You get one dedicated person who works only for your company, on your hours, inside your software, and a Neon Link manager runs the account: pay, equipment, replacement if it comes to that, and a phone that gets answered. You never run offshore payroll or manage a freelancer alone. It is not a shared pool, a ticket queue or a 24/7 answering line.
How fast can someone start?
We start recruiting when you say go. You interview the finalist before anyone starts, and the start date is set with you once you pick the person. We would rather take the time to find the right fit than hand you whoever is free.
What if the person is not the right fit?
If the fit is wrong in the first 60 days, we swap them at no cost. After that, if they leave, we recruit the replacement at no charge and manage the handover. Training on your process runs at the normal monthly rate.
Do we have to sign a long contract?
No. Month to month is available on every plan. The 6-month plan trades a longer commitment for a lower monthly rate. A written quote at the published rate is held for 30 days.
