Verifications Specialist

The role

We are looking for a Verifications Specialist for US background screening companies. It is phone work with a purpose: calling employers, schools and references to confirm employment history, education and professional references, so hiring decisions get made on facts instead of guesses. We are looking for clear, confident English on the phone, patient persistence on the follow-up, and someone who treats accuracy and confidentiality as non-negotiable. Selected candidates are interviewed now and matched to a client engagement as it opens.

What you will do

• Call employers, schools and references to verify employment history, education and professional or personal references
• Confirm dates, titles and details accurately and document what you find
• Follow up persistently and professionally until each verification is complete
• Keep clear, accurate notes in the system on every case
• Handle sensitive consumer data with care and discretion

What you bring

• Clear, confident English communication on the phone
• Comfortable making outbound calls all day and following up without giving up
• Professional, polite and patient, even with people who are slow to respond
• Strong attention to detail when recording information
• Trustworthy and discreet with confidential information
• A quiet, private workspace and a wired internet connection
