Trucking Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator

The role

We are looking for an experienced Dispatcher or Logistics Coordinator for a US trucking company, freight broker or last mile fleet. Depending on the client, the role covers planning and assigning loads, keeping drivers moving, chasing check calls and ETAs, and handling the paper behind the freight: carrier setup, rate confirmations, BOLs, PODs, detention and billing. If you have run a board on a US fleet or worked load boards, we want to talk. Selected candidates are interviewed now and matched to a client engagement as it opens.

What you will do

• Plan and assign loads, communicate with drivers and keep the board moving
• Track loads, chase check calls and ETAs, and update customers before they ask
• Handle rate confirmations, BOLs, PODs, detention and lumper paperwork
• Set up carriers and customers and keep the TMS accurate
• Flag problems early: late pickups, breakdowns, HOS limits, missing paperwork
• Report daily on loads moved, issues and what needs a decision

What you bring

• 2 or more years dispatching or coordinating for a US trucking company, broker or 3PL
• Familiar with load boards (DAT, Truckstop) and at least one TMS
• Understand HOS basics and dry van, reefer or flatbed operations
• Clear English on the phone with drivers, shippers and receivers
• Able to work US hours, including early starts for morning dispatch
• A quiet, private workspace and a wired internet connection
