The role
Neon Link places remote AI-native full-stack developers in the Philippines with US companies. Most US small businesses run on a spreadsheet nobody trusts, tools that don't talk to each other, and a client portal they wish they had. You build internal tools, client portals and small apps fast, with AI coding agents doing much of the typing and you doing the thinking: a clean data model, a modern web front end, logins and row level security done properly, and a real release to production. You read every change the agent makes, test it and own what ships. Send a live app or a repo you built, tell us what it did and what kind of business used it, and leave the client's name out.
We are hiring for this role now. Depending on the engagement, the work is project based or full time, at a rate agreed up front. We never charge a fee to apply, test, train or start.
What you'll do
- Turn a client's spreadsheet process into a working app: a Postgres schema, forms, views and roles
- Build internal tools, client portals and small apps in React or Next.js on Supabase or Postgres, using AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Cursor to move fast
- Review, test and understand every change the agent writes before it ships, and keep the codebase clean enough for the next developer
- Set up authentication and row level security so each user sees only their own records, then try to break it before a client does
- Connect apps to the client's other tools through APIs, webhooks and serverless functions
- Ship to production with secrets kept out of the code and backups on, then hand over a short guide and a walkthrough video for the client's team
- Maintain and improve what you shipped as the business changes
- The old spreadsheet retired, with the data moved over cleanly
- Permissions that hold when someone tries to open a record that isn't theirs
- A client team using the app every day, delivered against the scope and dates set with each client
What you bring
- 2 or more years building and shipping web apps that real users log into; a project of your own counts
- Daily use of AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf or GitHub Copilot, and the judgment to catch when they're wrong
- Solid React or Next.js with TypeScript
- Solid on Postgres: schema design, relations, migrations and queries, in Supabase or plain Postgres
- Authentication and row level security done properly, with policies you can explain line by line
- Clear written English and a good eye for a simple interface
- Careful with client data and access: you work only in the accounts a client sets up for you, keep their data, code and API keys out of personal accounts and public repos, and before your first client project you'll sign a confidentiality agreement and pass a background check, including a current NBI clearance
- Education: any degree or none; what you shipped matters more
- Stripe payments, file uploads and e-signature in a portal
- Deploying on Vercel, Netlify or Cloudflare, and writing serverless functions
Work setup
- Your own computer with 16 GB of RAM or more and an Intel Core i5, AMD Ryzen 5 or Apple M series processor or better, on Windows 10 or 11, macOS or Linux, with a webcam and a headset
- Fiber internet of at least 50 Mbps, with a mobile data or second provider backup
- A UPS or generator so a brownout doesn't drop a client call or a deploy
- A quiet workspace for client calls and screen shares
- Tell us your city and province when you apply; we hire across regions, so one storm or outage doesn't hit everyone at once
You'll do well here if
