The role
Neon Link places remote AI automation specialists in the Philippines with US companies. US small businesses lose hours every week to copy and paste: leads typed from one system into another, invoices chased by hand, the same report rebuilt every Monday. You build the automations that end that, on modern workflow platforms, with an LLM step where judgment is needed, such as reading an email, sorting a request or drafting a reply for a person to approve.
We care more about what you built than the courses you took: show us a workflow you built that someone actually used, tell us what it did and what kind of business ran it, and leave the client's name out. If you run and check AI agents and workflows today and you're moving into building them, we want to hear from you too. We are hiring for this role now. Depending on the engagement, the work is project based or full time, at a rate agreed up front. We never charge a fee to apply, test, train or start.
What you'll do
- Map a client's manual process with the person who does it today, then design the automation before you build it
- Build workflows in n8n, Make or Zapier that connect CRMs, inboxes, spreadsheets, accounting tools and forms through APIs and webhooks
- Add LLM steps where they earn their place: classify, extract, summarize or draft, with a person approving anything that goes to a customer
- Handle the failure cases: retries, duplicate protection, error alerts and a clear log of what ran
- Write a one page runbook for every workflow so the client's team can see what it does and who to call
- Watch the first weeks in production, fix what breaks, and tell the client what happened and what you changed
- Build in the client's own accounts, keep credentials and API keys in their password manager, and hand over admin access and a list of every connection when the project ends
- Hours of manual work removed per week, measured before and after against the target set with each client
- Workflows that keep running when an API changes, because errors are caught and reported
- A client who can explain what the automation does without you in the room
What you bring
- 2 or more years building automations for real users in n8n, Make, Zapier, Power Automate or a similar platform
- Comfortable with APIs, webhooks, JSON and authentication (API keys, OAuth)
- At least one workflow with an LLM step (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini or similar) that someone relies on
- Enough JavaScript or Python to write a code step when the no-code block runs out
- Clear written English: you can explain a workflow to a business owner who has never seen one
- Careful with client data and access: you work only in the accounts a client sets up for you, keep their data, credentials and API keys out of personal accounts and public repos, and before your first client project you'll sign a confidentiality agreement and pass a background check, including a current NBI clearance
- Education: any degree or none; what you built matters more
- HubSpot, GoHighLevel, QuickBooks, Airtable, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
- Self-hosting n8n, or building AI agents with tool calling
Work setup
- Your own computer with 16 GB of RAM or more and an Intel Core i5, AMD Ryzen 5 or Apple M series processor or better, on Windows 10 or 11, macOS or Linux, with a webcam and a headset
- Fiber internet of at least 50 Mbps, with a mobile data or second provider backup
- A UPS or generator so a brownout doesn't drop a client call or a deploy
- A quiet workspace for client calls and screen shares
- Tell us your city and province when you apply; we hire across regions, so one storm or outage doesn't hit everyone at once
You'll do well here if
