The role
Neon Link places remote AI voice agent developers in India with US companies. Service businesses in the US miss calls after hours, at lunch and on busy Mondays, and every missed call is a customer who dials the next company. You build voice agents on modern voice AI platforms, connected to the phone line and to the client's calendar or CRM, that answer, qualify, book and hand off to a person when they should. We want builders: send a sample call or a walkthrough of an agent you built, tell us what it handled and what kind of business used it, and leave the client's name out.
We are hiring for this role now. Depending on the engagement, the work is project based or full time, at a rate agreed up front. We never charge a fee to apply, test, train or start.
What you'll do
- Script and build voice agents that answer, qualify, book appointments and transfer to a person when the caller needs one
- Connect agents to phone numbers (Twilio or the platform's own), calendars, CRMs and webhooks
- Write prompts and call flows that sound natural, handle interruptions and stay on task
- Test with real calls and transcripts every week, and fix what callers trip on
- Design the handoff first: when a caller asks for a person, is upset, or needs something the agent should not handle
- Track the numbers the client cares about: calls answered, bookings made, transfers and hang ups
- Build in the disclosures the client's rules call for, such as telling callers they're speaking with an AI agent or that the call is recorded, and keep recordings and transcripts in the client's own accounts
- Calls that used to go to voicemail are answered and booked
- Callers who reach a person when they need one, without repeating themselves
- Transcripts you can show the client with confidence
What you bring
- 1 or more years building voice agents or phone menus that real callers use; a project of your own counts, and tell us which platforms
- Hands-on with at least one voice agent platform or framework, such as Vapi, Retell, Bland, Synthflow, ElevenLabs, LiveKit, Pipecat or Twilio Voice
- Comfortable with APIs, webhooks and function calling to book, look up or update records during a call
- A good ear for how a call sounds: pacing, interruptions, accents and the moment a caller gets frustrated
- Clear written and spoken English
- Careful with client and caller data: you work only in the accounts a client sets up for you, keep recordings, transcripts and API keys out of personal accounts and public repos, and before your first client project you'll sign a confidentiality agreement, pass a background check and show a photo ID and proof of past work, such as experience letters, payslips or freelance invoices
- Education: any degree or none; what you built matters more
- Calendar and CRM integrations such as Google Calendar, Calendly, GoHighLevel or ServiceTitan
- Building agents that follow US consent and disclosure rules for automated calls
Work setup
- Your own computer with 16 GB of RAM or more and an Intel Core i5, AMD Ryzen 5 or Apple M series processor or better, on Windows 10 or 11, macOS or Linux, with a webcam and a headset
- Broadband of at least 50 Mbps, with a mobile hotspot as backup
- UPS or inverter power backup so a power cut doesn't drop a client call or a deploy
- A quiet workspace where you can test voice agents and take client calls without background noise
- Tell us your city and state when you apply; we hire across regions, so one storm or outage doesn't hit everyone at once
You'll do well here if
